A Little About Us . . . . . . . . . . .
At Doula Care our clients have a choice of the kind of support they desire.
We offer two options, a Shared-Care model of support or a Primary Doula and a Secondary Doula model of support.
Shared-care support means that after having met our team of three doulas, who are like-minded, you choose two you would like to work with. You will have the opportunity to get to know your doulas during prenatal workshops. Only one doula will meet with you privately to discuss your birth preferences and only one will attend your birth, depending on who is available.
Primary Doula support and Secondary Doula support means from our team we ask that you identify a primary doula and a secondary doula. Your primary doula will review your birth preferences with you privately and attend your birth if at all possible. The secondary doula would only attend your birth if the primary doula were unavailable.
Both of these models of support offers clients reassurance that the doula attending the birth is someone they have had the opportunity to develop a prenatal relationship with, virtually eliminating the need for an unknown back-up doula.
We are independent doulas who provide non-medical and the decisions made by the women who place their trust in us.
We attend home and hospital and work respectfully with ALL caregivers.
We work with moms or moms that desire support no matter how many births they have had. We work with moms who have a low risk or pregnancy or birth, moms expecting a multiple and moms who desire a VBAC.
We offer support to all women and their support(s).
We look forward to supporting your birth journey.
